It’s really simple: bring food, drink or utensils to share and we’ll have supper together. We held our first Bring & Share Supper in August. You can read about here.
We’re connecting people, places and great ideas across Dudley borough. Sharing suppers are an enjoyable way to meet people and make connections.
There will be lots of opportunities to talk about ideas for doing something different where you live. You might meet people who share your passion or want to support you with an idea.
We’re supporting teams of people to start projects where they live, using all sorts of resources around them. Once they have tested thier ideas they can put thier project forward for funding from the West Midlands Police Active Citizens programme.
We thought it would be great if the people making decisions on funding could meet the project teams at a sharing supper and then do their assessments on the same night. At the end of the evening you’ll hear what recommendations for funding support are being made. (Though money can’t buy the secret ingredients that make these projects work – people’s passion, skills, knowledge, talents and compassion.)
What can I expect?
A warm welcome, and fun and friendly evening. We know it can be a bit daunting coming along to something if you don’t already know people. Don’t worry, there will be a warm friendly welcome and we just know you’ll make new friends along the way. All ages are welcome. (Children must bring a grown-up.)
What should I bring?
Some food, drink or utensils to share, and a smile.
We have a kettle, mugs and access to washing up facilities, it would be great if you could bring just one of the following things:
bread | butter | cheese | somosas | cold meat | salad | crackers | dips | cake | fruit | a carton of juice or bottle of soft drink | herbal tea bags | a jar of coffee | milk | knives, forks, spoons | a few plates
